I meet people all the time and they say to me, “I don’t get the chance to walk red carpets, but I love the styles.” My answer is simple… you walk your own red carpet every time you step out the door!! Obviously metallic dresses and pumps aren’t suited for work, but when headed out for the evening, definitely step up the glam factor using your favorites stars or award shows as inspiration! Below are my quick tips for going out on the town using hot trends seen on the 2013 Award Show season red carpets! Enjoy…. work it out, and celebrate you!
People were buzzing about the proposed dress code for the 2013 Grammys almost as much as they were about Rihanna taking Chris Brown as her date. For the Grammys—notoriously the most risk-taking of all the red carpets—a dress code was a tall order. Many attendees, like Carly Rae Jepsen and Carrie Underwood, complied, helping to make this year’s red carpet one of the classiest, and most high-fashion yet. And some, like Kelly Rowland and J.Lo, pushed the boundaries, using see-through mesh and baring a whole leg, respectively. Watch and weigh in on who played by the rules, and who blurred the lines.
As many time as I ask the question, “Who are you wearing?” I get the same question. The answer this week is… it’s all about Tom Ford (again)! I love the custom suits I get from Mr. Ford as they’ll always be a classic staple in my wardrobe.
Kicking off fashion week I went to support my good friend Coco Rocha at the launch of her new show The Face on Oxygen. Then, the next night I headed over to the Hearts Truth fashion show to show my support for this important cause! Back stage I calmed Kris Jenner ‘s nerves before she took the runway and we shared an inside joke from our shoot day last year on ANTM.
It’s been a fun couple of days catching up with friend June Ambrose and J. Alexander… and as you can imagine the laughs were plentiful!
The SAG Awards are all about actors showing love for other actors. In that spirit, I was on the red carpet asking your favorite celebrities who they love–when it comes to style! I spoke to Hugh Jackman, Sarah Hyland, Katrina Bowden, The “Glee” ladies, Jordin Sparks, and others, to find out which lady they think gets it right every time. Do you agree with their picks?
Well…. with fashion and media giving a nostalgic nod to the 1960′s my BFF (and amazingly talented hair dresser) Oscar James changed my hair look. Believe it or not, I love wearing suits! If you didn’t know… my grandfather was a tailor and whenever I get the chance I prefer to rock a classic suit (and not the crazy stand out fashion pieces).
What do you think of the change?
